Speakers
Marios Tannousis is the CEO of Invest Cyprus. He has over 24 years of international corporate experience, including 12 in the international banking and financial services group Societe Generale, where he served in various key posts. He is a Member of the Boards of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) and the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA) and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). He holds a degree in Economics and an MBA. He regularly represents Cyprus at international conferences.
George Panteli was appointed as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance on 15th October 2019 and remained in office until October 2024. On November 1st 2024 he was posted to the position of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth. He studied Economics at Queen Mary College and he holds a master’s degree in Public Administration. His professional career started at KPMG. Subsequently, he was employed at the Ministry of Finance and in 2014 he was appointed Director of the Economic Research and European Union Directorate. He is the Cyprus’s representative in the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Commission and the Eurogroup Working Group, he participates in the meetings of the Eurogroup and the ECOFIN Council and is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Stability Mechanism. He participates in various BoD of Organizations such as the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center, the State Health Services Organization. He is the President of the BoD of Asset Management Cooperative Company and is the Head of the Economy Working Group of the negotiations for the reunification of Cyprus.
Marios Andreou is the National Tax Policy leader at PwC Cyprus also leading the UK and India market business efforts. Through his time with the Firm in London and in Cyprus, Marios has wide experience in international tax issues, PE and M&A transactions, double tax treaty application and EU tax law. His clients include both local and international corporations including a number of High Net Worth individuals. He is the president of the Cyprus/UK business association and honorary president of the Cyprus/India business association, both under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Through these roles he has been active in promoting trade relations between Cyprus and the UK and also Cyprus and India. Marios is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Cyprus (ICPAC). He has served for a number of years as a member of the taxation committee of ICPAC. Marios is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (BSc (Econ) Econometrics and Mathematical Economics).
Sara Eojourian is the Head of Wealth Management and Executive Director at Athlos Capital. Her career started in 2006 at Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Division in London. In 2010 she returned to Cyprus and was hired as a Senior Private Banker at Bank of Cyprus. In 2017 she left to run a Cyprus Investment Firm which she headed until 2020 when she joined Athlos Capital. She has extensive experience managing Ultra High Net Worth Individuals’ portfolios both under execution and advisory services. Sara holds a BSc in Business Management from King’s College London, University of London and an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Bayes (formerly Cass Business School).
Georgia Papa serves as a Director at Pyrgou Vakis LLC, a distinguished law firm recognized for its expertise in international trusts and relocation services. With extensive experience in these areas, Georgia has developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in trust structures and the legal frameworks surrounding relocation to Cyprus. Her commitment to providing exceptional legal counsel has enabled numerous clients to navigate the intricacies of establishing trusts and relocating effectively. In addition to her role as Director, Georgia actively participates in initiatives that promote Cyprus as a premier destination for international business and relocation. Her involvement highlights her dedication to fostering global partnerships and enhancing Cyprus’s reputation as a strategic hub for individuals and businesses alike. Georgia holds an LLB from the University of Leicester, an LLM from King’s College London, and an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation. She was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2011. Furthermore, she is a member of the Tax Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association and serves on the board of the Cyprus – Kazakhstan Business Association, operating under the auspices of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Andreas Andronicou is a Partner at PwC Cyprus specialising in taxation in the private equity space with a focus in the UK Market. He has extensive experience advising international clients for almost 20 years on a number of M&A, cross border transactions and restructurings. Andreas has a diverse portfolio of clients mainly in the financial, funds, technology and real estate sectors. At the same time he has a core focus on the HNWI space within the context of the UK market. Andreas is leading joint assignments between PwC Cyprus and PwC UK, and was on an assignment to PwC London for two years where he was providing support on both Cyprus and UK angles on a number of international transactions. Andreas is a Member of the ICAEW and ICPAC and has graduated from the London School of Economics with First Class honors BSc and an MSc in Economics.
Melina Dionysiou is an experienced corporate lawyer with over 20 years in corporate and commercial law, specializing in company restructurings and acquisitions. An LLB graduate from the University of Manchester, she joined the Cyprus Bar in 1997 and currently leads Totalserve’s Corporate and Commercial Department. Melina is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and STEP. She has published various articles on corporate law topics, regularly speaks at international conferences, and currently serves on the Board of the Cyprus University of Technology.
Kyriakos Charalampous is the COO of Domenica Group, a company established in 1961 and one of the largest real estate developers in Cyprus, involved in the sectors of hospitality and renewable energy, as well. With a civil engineering background and studies in both the University of Bristol and UC Berkeley in California, Mr. Charalampous worked for 6 years as a trader in London, focusing on energy. Since 2021, Mr. Charalampous is with the Domenica Group, helping the company to become one of the market leaders in the real estate sector in Cyprus, and to expand the business into the energy. Domenica Solar, a company founded by Mr. Charalampous, now holds one of the largest portfolios of solar farms in Cyprus.
George Englezos is the Chief Commercial Officer of Limassol Greens, a leading residential and commercial development in Cyprus. With over a decade of experience in real estate and marketing, George has been pivotal in shaping the project’s strategic direction and commercial success. His expertise spans luxury real estate, business development, and sales, positioning Limassol Greens as a destination that blends sustainability with modern living. Melina Rafti is the General Manager of Korantina Homes, a property developing company specializing in exclusive properties. Melina has an extensive experience and expertise in the Real Estate sector, serving the industry in different managerial positions for more than 20 years.
Petros Rialas is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with extensive expertise in international tax structuring, corporate taxation, and trusts. He holds a degree in Economics and Social Studies from the University of Manchester and a Master’s in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University of London. A member of STEP and ITPA, Petros served on ICPAC’s Tax Committee and frequently contributes to industry publications and conferences. His career includes roles in London’s audit sector and a Big Four tax division in Cyprus. He joined Totalserve in 2008, becoming CEO in October 2021.
